How do I manage my paid subscription?
Set up and manage a paid subscription for your podcast, including early access, ad-free episodes, and bonus content.
If you are on the Pro or Enterprise plan, you can launch a paid subscription for your podcast and offer benefits including bonus episodes, early access, and ad-free listening.
Listeners can subscribe in the Fountain app and can pay with Lightning or bank card.
Set Up Your Subscription
Go to Settings > Subscription, enable subscriptions, and complete the required fields:
- Subscription title
- Offer message
- Monthly subscription price
- Subscriber benefits
- Thank you message
When you save your changes, the subscription will be available on your show page.
Early Access
To publish an early access episode:
- Upload your episode audio or video
- Under Episode type, choose Regular episode
- Choose Early access
You can then set:
- Early access date
- General release date
- Purchase price for non-subscribers
Ad-Free Episodes
To publish an ad-free version of an episode:
- Upload the version with ads
- Under Episode type, choose Regular episode
- Choose Ad-free
You can then upload the ad-free audio or video and optionally set a one-time Purchase price for non-subscribers.
Bonus Episodes
To publish a bonus episode:
- Under Episode type, choose Bonus episode
- Upload the subscriber-only audio or video
- Upload a preview audio or video for free listeners if you want
- Optionally set a one-time Purchase price for non-subscribers
