How do I publish an ad-free version?
Publish an ad-free version for subscribers by enabling subscriptions, uploading the standard episode, and then adding the ad-free version.
If you are on the Pro or Enterprise plan, you can launch a paid subscription for your podcast and offer ad-free episodes and other benefits to paid subscribers.
How do ad-free episodes work?
Ad-free episodes give paid subscribers on Fountain access to a version without host-read ads.
The version with ads is available in all podcast apps, while subscribers can listen to the ad-free version on Fountain. Listeners without a subscription can also unlock the full episode by purchasing it.
Fountain does not insert ads into your podcast. “ad-free” simply refers to any host-read ads you choose to remove.
Set up your subscription
Go to Settings > Subscription, enable subscriptions, and complete the required fields:
- Subscription title
- Offer message
- Monthly subscription price
- Subscriber benefits
- Thank you message
When you save your changes, the subscription will be available on your show page.
Publish an ad-free version
To publish an ad-free version of an episode:
- Under Episode type, choose Regular episode
- Upload your Episode audio or video* (the version with ads)
- Under Ad-free, check the box titled I want to upload an ad-free version
- Upload your Ad-free audio or video
- Set your Purchase price for non-subscribers
