Can my agent clip a video that is not an episode?

Yes. Your agent can clip a video Fountain never published as an episode: a talk on YouTube, or a video file on your machine. Hand it the URL or the file and it finds the moments, sets the boundaries and writes the posts the same way it would for an episode.
The one difference
Because the video is not on Fountain, the draft post has words but no clip Fountain can cut behind it. That means the finished video must be rendered in the same session, before you and your agent part ways. It cannot be picked up and rendered later. A local file also has to be rendered on the machine that holds it.
Unpublished episodes
If the video is an episode you simply have not published yet, it is better to wait: clip it after it publishes, and the whole flow works normally. The draft can be rendered any time, and the post links back to the episode.
